Dr. Betsy Dovec, Founder & CEO Dr. Betsy Dovec is a board-certified bariatric surgeon with more than ten years of experience and has performed over 4,400 weight loss surgeries. A blooming innovator, with a special focus in revisional surgery, she balances her powerful and practiced technique with empathy and warmth for all her patients. In the interest of accessibility, she offers virtual consultations.
Dr. Diana Lane, Bariatric Surgeon Board-certified bariatric surgeon, Dr. Diana Lane specializes in minimally invasive and revisional procedures. She has conducted over 450 surgeries all while keeping patient safety her top priority, ensuring the highest quality outcomes for her patients.
Hannah Schuyler, RD, Registered Dietitian: Hannah is a Registered Dietitian. She graduated from the University of Florida with her Bachelor’s Degree and performed her RD training through Tulane University.
Amber Sena-Diaz, PA-C, Physician Assistant: Amber is bilingual in English and Spanish. She has a passion for nutrition and fitness and can develop a meal and exercise plan to help patients meet their specific goals.

At Body by Bariatrics, our mission is to keep weight loss solutions affordable. Bariatric surgery begins at $10,999 for self-pay patients; one of the most affordable rates in the country according to Affordable Excellence. Several insurance companies offer coverage for bariatric surgery, however coverage is dependent on the specific insurance policy. We will always try our best to help navigate the insurance process by assisting in verifying insurance benefits, expedited prior authorizations, and appealing common denials. In addition, the medical weight loss program has a consultation fee of $149.99, and a further subscription fee to maintain out ongoing support. Furthermore, medications and labs can oftentimes be billed through insurance. Lastly, we accept HSA/FSA funds as payment as well.
