Medical Providers 

Meet the doctors. Halim Charbel, M.D. is a board-certified gastroenterologist and advanced endoscopist. Doctor Charbel is the lead medical provider. Another is Reza Hashemipour, M.D., a board-certified gastroenterologist and advanced endoscopist. A third doctor is Katelyn Metz, R.D., who is a registered dietician. Doctor Metz is certified in obesity and weight management. Crystal Lubis N.P. and Sara Moffett N.P. are board-certified nurse practitioners. All work together to provide excellent care.

Services Offered

The Silhouette Clinic provides you with minimally invasive procedures. 

• ESG: The main service offered is endoscopic sleeve, ESG. You will experience an outpatient, non-surgical procedure with very little downtime for patients. It does not involve an incision. Most people get positive results. 
• Orbera Weight Loss Balloon: The clinic also offers Orbera Weight Loss Balloon. It’s a 12-month balloon weight loss procedure. It teaches you change your eating habits. That helps create long-term results.  
• Bariatric Revision: The location also offers trans-oral gastric outlet reduction or bariatric revision procedures. It is also a non-surgical, outpatient procedure. If you had weight loss surgery before, this may help. It can tighten the gastrojejunal anastomosis to restore normal size. 
• Spatz3 Adjustable Gastric Balloon: The center also uses Spatz3. It is an adjustable gastric weight loss balloon. It helps people learn how to eat better to lose weight over a period of 6 months.
• Weight Loss Nutrition Package: Another service provided by the center is its 1:1 customized nutrition counseling services with a bariatric dietician. You get guidance through behavioral counseling, fitness, and meal planning. 

The organization creates an individualized treatment plan for each patient, which may include one or more of the previously mentioned solutions.

There are two offices for The Silhouette Clinic. The first is in Germantown, Maryland, and the second is in Frederick, Maryland. Both are state-of-the-art, modern facilities. 

Pricing

Cost is dependent on the specific needs of the patient. The Orbera Balloon procedure is about $6000, including 12 months of dietician support and 90-day complication coverage. The Spatz3 Balloon procedure is about the same in terms of costs. Those seeking bariatric revision can expect to pay around $10,000 for the procedure, which is also outpatient and offers 12 months of support from a dietitian. 

ESG starts at about $11,000 for the basic service that includes a physician consultation, ESG procedure, and unlimited doctor follow-ups. The ESG Select Package upgrades this to include hotel stays and transportation support and costs $13,000.
