About the Pharmacy

NovoCare Pharmacy is Novo Nordisk’s proprietary direct-to-patient dispensing program, launched in March 2025. Participating organizations and select telehealth providers that work directly with Novo Nordisk include Costco, GoodRx, WeightWatchers, Ro, LifeMD, and eMed. Unlike the compounding pharmacy partnerships seen throughout this series, where pharmacies fulfill prescriptions on behalf of telehealth platforms, NovoCare’s telehealth partnerships involve co-distribution of FDA-approved brand-name products at the self-pay pricing tiers, not compounding agreements.

Pricing

NovoCare’s pricing structure has evolved rapidly since launch and represents a direct response to the compounded GLP-1 market’s pricing pressure:

New self-pay patients can access Wegovy or Ozempic for $199/month for their first two months (through June 30, 2026), covering the 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg doses. After those two months, the standard monthly self-pay price is $349/month — down from the prior $499/month.

Patients pay $149 per month for Wegovy 1.5 mg and 4 mg doses through August 31, 2026, after which the 4 mg dose increases to $199/month.

For commercially insured patients with coverage, Novo Nordisk continues to offer savings programs that can bring monthly costs to as little as $0–$25/month. Government beneficiaries (Medicare, Medicaid) are excluded from these programs.
