Background and History

Dr. Ferdinand Cabrera, the founder of Genesis Health Institute, trained in internal medicine and subsequently did a fellowship in an emerging specialty, the field of Functional and Anti-Aging Medicine. His love for biochemistry and physiology guided his approach to establishing a practice that was different from the traditional disease-management-centered medicine and instead focused on the prevention of disease and treatment of the root cause.

1. Customized Weight Loss Protocol: Dr Cabrera’s patented weight loss protocol starts with a thorough diagnostic evaluation before any treatment is given. The initial appointment generally lasts the longest and involves the following:

• InBody 570 Body Composition Analysis determines fat mass, muscle mass, water levels, inflammation factors, and lean muscle distribution by segment of the body.

2. Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) for Weight Loss: Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) is a key component of the clinic’s weight loss program for individuals who have been diagnosed with a hormone imbalance.
