Leilan Chaves, “the founder of HL Med Spa,” is from São João do Manteninha, MG, Brazil and graduated from a Japanese hair school in Ipatinga, MG, in 2003. She immigrated to the United States and established the first 5-star beauty salon/ spa in the City of Newark, NJ where the beauty and wellness community in Newark had a level of sophistication never seen before.
