Impact Family Wellness is a Direct Primary Care (DPC) clinic that operates from three offices in Central Texas including Cedar Park, Liberty Hill, and Thorndale.

Impact Family Wellness is owned by Family Nurse Practitioner Monica McKitterick, FNP-BC and provides an array of healthcare services, such as primary and urgent care, unlimited access to the physician’s care, prescription of weight loss medications, hormone treatment (testosterone), vitamin shots, Botox and more.

Background and History

Monica McKitterick, FNP-BC, served for 10 years inside the traditional, health insurance based medical system. She found herself in a scenario where she had to deal with 30 or more patients in a day and spend only 3-5 minutes with each of them. She knew that was not the reason she became a doctor, so she wanted to change that. She relocated to Texas and found the Direct Primary Care model, and opened her first clinic in Cedar Park with 23 courageous patients.

The practice grew steadily through word-of-mouth and community engagement. By 2021, the practice had expanded to multiple locations. By the time of her feature in the Nursepreneurs podcast, she had grown to over 800 members. Today the practice serves over 1,800 members across three locations.

Monica McKitterick, FNP-BC (Founder & CEO): Board certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 12 years of advanced clinical experience in Family Practice, Urgent Care, Orthopedics and Vascular Nursing. She has a Master’s degree from Duke University and is a prominent national spokesperson for the Direct Primary Care movement.

Courtney Paulsen (Thorndale Provider): Courtney has been practicing as a registered nurse since the early 2000’s, and was the owner and provider of Country Meadows Clinic. She enjoys being a part of the Thorndale community and is a much-loved and respected member of the medical team by patients around Thorndale for her warm, compassionate approach to healing.
