Background and History

Dr. Cynthia Elliott opened Skinspirations in 2005 after 15 years of working as an Emergency Medicine physician for the Tampa Bay trauma centers: Bayfront Medical Center, St. Joseph’s Hospital, University Community Hospital and Mease Countryside Hospital, and serving on the University of South Florida College of Medicine’s faculty as Associate Professor.

After visiting a local dermatologist’s cosmetic practice in the early 2000s, Dr. Elliott pursued intensive cosmetic medical training for two years which inspired her to launch Skinspirations. She was recruited by Allergan (the creators of Botox and Juvederm) to be a national trainer of their products within 2 years of opening in 2007, based on her results. She went on to become a national and international trainer of Cutera Lasers for aesthetic laser use for all skin types.

She has a companion company ExpertEsthetics, which offers advanced injection and laser techniques hands-on clinician training workshops and online video training. The practice totals 88,000+ procedures performed and Dr. Elliott’s training effort has generated so many practitioners in Tampa Bay that the clinic admits, “It’s likely that if you’ve had a treatment in Tampa Bay, the provider that did it was trained by Dr. Elliott.
